Volunteers

If you’re interested in serving on the Orange Team in 2012, just follow these simple steps:

Block off April 25-27, 2012, on your calendar. The hours will be 7:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. (4/25 and 4/26) and 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. (4/27). They are long days, but you don’t have to worry about being there the WHOLE time—you’ll get to select shifts and/or days.

Fill out the Volunteer Application by using the link below. You’ll soon hear back from the Orange Volunteer Coordinator who will keep you up to date between now and the event.

FAQs:

Can I attend the conference if I volunteer?

If you've volunteered with us in any capacity before, you already know that our volunteers are always busy. Because we have so many needs at this particular event, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to attend any of the conference. We look forward to having volunteers that show up with a heart that is ready to serve others and do whatever it takes to make their experience great. If you have a desire to attend any of the conference, we recommend registering for the event rather than volunteering so that your heart and attention won't be divided while you're at The Orange Conference.

What if I am interested in bringing a group of people from our church/organization to volunteer together?

We love this idea! Volunteering as a group is such a great team building experience and we encourage it throughout The Orange Conference. We have a great group discount offer for Orange Conference 2012—bring a group of eight volunteers and we will give you one Orange Conference Registration for FREE or bring a group of fifteen or more and we will give you two Orange Conference Registrations for FREE! That’s right, you read correctly! So, if you are looking for a way to get your senior pastor, children’s pastor or student pastor to attend The Orange Conference for FREE, rally up a group of volunteers and sign up before March 15, 2012. Don’t forget to list a designated person as your team leader so we know you are all together. We do our very best to keep your team together throughout the week.

I can only volunteer for one or two days instead of the entire event. Can you still use me?

Yes, yes, yes. Volunteers that can serve all three days of the event will have preference when we are placing volunteers on teams. But those who can only serve one or two days are welcome additions to our team.

Is there a fee to volunteer?

No way! Nope! None! Na-da!

Are any of my expenses covered?

You are responsible for your own transportation to Atlanta and lodging while in town. We will provide your conference T-shirt and meals on the days that you are serving. More details will be provided about meal times and locations closer to the event.

Is there a designated hotel for volunteers?

No. There is a complete listing of hotels under the Location and Travel link above. We have specially negotiated rates with each of these properties, but they will sell out. We encourage you to book hotel rooms quickly to ensure you get a room.

I have physical limitations that may prevent me from serving in some roles. Can I still volunteer?

There is a place on the volunteer application to note any physical limitations that will impact how you can serve with us. Please be sure to include as many details as possible so that we can make sure to assign you to the best role for your needs.

What if I have to cancel as a volunteer?

Let's start with only positive thoughts—you're not going to cancel! But if you do, please let us know as soon as possible so that we may ensure our needs are met. We are asking for three weeks notice for any cancellations from the Orange team so that we can recruit another individual to join us.
