Bethany Grace Fellowship (www.bethanygf.org), a life giving, caring and growing church is looking for a full-time Director of Children’s Ministries (currently: Birth – 6th, Children Church, SS, Clubs). We are praying for the “right” person--not someone to simply fit a pre-determined typecast job description. The “right” person is defined as having solid character, competence, chemistry with our team, and a person who understands our culture and its heart. This position’s responsibilities could be summed up in four words: Vision, Leadership, Parents and Operations. 1.) Vision: We would look to you to develop a dynamic, comprehensive and aligned vision for our CM; a ministry where kids beg to come and are passionate about loving Jesus. 2.) Leadership: We hope you have what it takes to be hands-on with the kids, but your priority will be on developing, equipping, empowering, and encouraging our volunteer team (currently @ 60+). Recruitment would be ongoing as our CM changes and grows. 3.) Parents: Your understanding that CM is not to replace the home but to support or strengthen it will push you to creatively engage and resource parents/guardians. 4.) Operations: You will oversee and/or delegate the carrying out of day-to-day operations (Safe Church, curriculum, budget, supplies… etc.). It would be helpful if you:  Value the fatherless (abuse/neglect, foster care, adoption issues).  Appreciate the challenges of Special Needs children and their families.  Are able to network and build resources pertaining to family and/or children’s counseling.
